    DOW™ Ultrafiltration (UF) Modules
     DOW™ ultrafiltration modules utilize high-strength hollow fiber membranes, offering the following key features and benefits:

    • Nominal Pore Size: 0.03 µm pores effectively remove bacteria, viruses, and particulates, including colloids, to protect downstream processes like reverse osmosis (RO).

    • Durable Materials: Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) hollow fibers provide exceptional strength and chemical resistance, prolonging membrane life.

    • Easy Cleaning: Hydrophilic PVDF fibers allow for easy cleaning and wetting, maintaining long-term performance.

    • Efficient Flow Configuration: The outside-in flow configuration accommodates high tolerance to feed solids, reducing the need for extensive pre-treatment processes.

    • Cost-Effective Design: U-PVC housing eliminates the need for expensive pressure vessels.

    These UF modules are ideal for systems with capacities greater than 50 m³/hr (220 gpm). The larger 8-inch diameter modules feature the highest active membrane area of any DOW UF module, optimizing system design. The shorter 60-inch length modules offer enhanced efficiency across a broader range of influent conditions compared to longer modules.
     Applications: DOW™ UF modules can be used in a variety of water treatment applications, including:

    • Surface water, seawater, industrial wastewater, and secondary effluent treatment

    • Pre-treatment for reverse osmosis systems to reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)

    • Wastewater reclamation to increase water availability in regions with limited resources

    • Food & Beverage: Clarification of juices, wines, and beer; production of milk and cheese

    • Microelectronics: Production of ultrapure water for manufacturing processes
